All foreign vessels should appoint a local agent for all clearance documentations.
Information on the major changes from the new regulation on foreign tourist vessels cruising.

General declaration documents for foreign vessels visit to Maldives
1- Document of non-expire (SOLAS) safety of life at sea Certificate or (IACS) International Association of classification society non expired certificate or documents . OR Safety certificate issued by Any Government authority.
2- Captain And crew License certificate ( Non residence captain of vessels registered should submit the endorsement letter from the authority
3- Passenger certificate
4- Captain certificate of competency
5- Minimum Safe man Certificate.
6- Passenger, vessel and machinery insurance with salvage and environmental insurance copy
7- Captain declaration letter mentioning the crew list, vessels owner and family list
Cruising Permits In Maldives 2024
® All foreign tourist vessels require a Cruising Permit to cruise and harbour inthe Maldives,
® A Cruising Permit should be obtained within 3 working days from the date and time of
arrival or from the time of inward clearance
Requirements to Obtain a Cruising Permit: -
1- Captains Declaration
2- Cruising Permit Fee
3- Required Vessels and Crew documents
Fee for Cruising Permits: - Ifany foreign tourist vessel above 20 meters like to stay longer
than 7 days in the Maldives a fee will be charged to issue a Cruising Permit.
1- Fee is USD 1000/- per vessel to obtain the permit
2- An additional fee of USD 100/- per day is charged from vessel above 20 meters
Fee for Crulsing Permits: - If any foreign tourist vessel under 20 meters like to stay withing 3 months no fees will apply. After 90 Days to extend up to 275 days a fee of USD50 per day will apply.
Please note:
1- With a Cruising Permit you can only cruise with crew onboard. No guest can be
accommodated. To cruise with guest onboard, a Charter License will be required,

® All foreign tourist vessels require a Charter License to have guest onboard other than the
owners and owners family while inthe Maldives.
® Charter License fees do not apply for vessel owners or owners’ family.
Requirements to Obtain a Charter License: -

Fee for Charter License in Maldives 2024
Vessel below and up to 20 Meters Fee is USD 100/- per day.
Vessel from 21 Meters up to 35 Meters Fee is USD 250/- per day.
Vessel from 36 Meters up to 45 Meters Fee is USD 400/- per day.
Vessel from 46 Meters up to 75 Meters Fee is USD 550/- per day.
Vessel from 76 Meters up to 100 Meters Fee is USD 700/- per day.
Vessel from 101 Meters and above Fee is USD 850/- per day.
